WORLD BOOK DAY 2017
An enjoyable morning in Ballylifford PS to mark World Book Day 2017 with the pupils gathering in the hall to perform their costume parade dressed as their favourite character/author along with their favourite book. They also performed the mannequin challenge which they thoroughly enjoyed.
The pupils also completed book-related activities throughout the day and we are also lucky to have the book fair arrive which means they can purchase new reading books.
We had a new Principal today too with Harry Potter being the boss for World Book Day!
The pupils also had an opportunity to watch the C2K Newsdesk EATV World Book Day programme on Friday 3rd March 2017.
The programme featured recommended reads from four P7 pupils from St Ita’s Primary School, Belfast – and filmed dramas from four schools who are Newsdesk regulars – St Macartan’s PS Loughinisland, Cumran Primary School, St Matthew’s PS Magheramayo and Bridge Integrated Primary School.
The pupils also had the chance to vote for their favourite from the eight recommended books.
