Releasing the Trout into Ballinderry River
12th Apr 2017
The pupils got the opportunity of releasing the fry into the Ballinderry River, thanks to Ballinderry Rivers Trust. They also looked for freshwater invertebrates, learned about how clean or polluted the river is.
The project helped the children in the local community become more aware about their local environment, what lives in the river and how we can reduce the impact of potential dangers to life in the river.
Thanks to Frank and Lisa from the hatchery who facilitated the project.
