We were absolutely delighted to welcome new members into our classroom this week! Frank and Jillian from the Ballinderry Rivers Trust delivered eggs for us to look after and care for over the next few weeks until they are fully grown and ready to be released into the Ballinderry River. As a class we have all taken on the role of “Hatchery managers”, we have a responsibility to check the condition of our eggs each morning checking the water, temperature, oxygen and light. We are so looking forward to watching our eggs grown from Alevin to fry before releasing them into the river as trout.
