Sport’s Day

24th Jun 2023

What an amazing day we all had for Sport’s Day and we were blessed with great weather - no rain and not too warm.  The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and showed great skill, teamwork and lots of happy, smiling faces.  The day started with our traditional races - Sprint, Egg and Spoon and Sack Race.  1st, 2nd and 3rd received a certificate.  Then we had our Mummy Egg and Spoon Race and Daddy Tug of war - now we know where our children get their competitiveness from, you were all brilliant and added to the fun of the day.  After break we had our fun sport’s led by our P.7 pupils and all children received a medal - they were absolutely fantastic.  As this was P.7 pupils last sport’s day, they got to ‘Rock the boat’ with their family and staff.  Brigid Ann and Orla then provided the children with a delicious picnic lunch in a ‘Happy meal’ box - the children were delighted and well ready for their dinner.

Thank you to all staff for their help and preparation for Sport’s day, to our Friends of Ballylifford for organising Tea/Coffee and refreshments, to David from Active Kids for coming along to help with the races and introduce the Colour Run, to Terry our DJ for adding to the atmosphere of the day and to all parents/carers and family members who attended - we were delighted to see so many of you there for both Sport’s Day and the Colour Run.
Always one of the highlights of the school year for our children - we hope you all had a wonderful day.  More photos to follow…
