P.7 Leavers - Class of 2024
A special thank you to all the parents for coming along this morning to our Leavers assembly where we celebrated together as a whole school community to mark the end of another school year and to say a fond farewell to our P.7 pupils – our class of 2024.
Thank you to Fr Donnelly for our mass this morning during which we prayed for our P.7 pupils and hope that they settle quickly into their new schools, make new friends and have the best possible start in their new journey in September.
What a fantastic journey these P.7 children have had over the last 7 years since starting P.1 with Mrs Sweeney in September 2017 and now the 15 of you will be leaving P.7 as good friends, who we know will continue to look out for each other in the years ahead.
September will bring changes – new faces, new classrooms, new teachers, a new start, but have confidence in all you have achieved so far and all anyone can ever ask of you is that you continue to do your very best is all aspects of school life.
We have thoroughly enjoyed teaching and watching you grow over the last 7 years and we can honestly say that you are the most wonderful group of P.7 pupils – mature, responsible, hard-working, dedicated and ‘always up for the craic’. We wish you all the very best of luck for the next chapter in your lives – we look forward to hearing about you in the future and how you are getting on. Work hard, play hard, Be kind and always remember that good manners are easily carried.
P.7 were presented with their tie for their new school in September and a farewell message from all the staff at Ballylifford PS. Mrs Conlan wrote a very special poem about all the children and left us all feeling very emotional but all tears of happiness.
Thank you to all staff at Ballylifford for their contribution to making today a very memorable one for our P.7 pupils - a special mention to Brigid Ann and Orla for the delicious homemade treats, to John and Kelly for setting up the hall, to Mrs Sweeney for teaching the children 'Stick Season' on the tin whistle and to Mrs Conlan, Rosemary, Meadhbh and Caoimhe for their continuous care and attention to the P.7 pupils all year and for the wonderful assembly. Thank you also to our 2 P.6 pupils Caragh and Isla for being wonderful technicians this morning, taking control of the music and I-Movies - you were fantastic girls.
Enjoy the last few days at Ballylifford Ps and we wish you every success and happiness for the future.
Take care and God Bless always!
