P1/2 have been learning about the special place our local church is and about some of the special features that we find in the church. We visited St. Patrick’s Church recently and looked at the stained glass windows, the baptismal font, the confessional, the Paschal candle, the altar, the tabernacle and the sanctuary lamp. Whilst we were there we took the time to say a little prayer for special intentions and we practised genuflecting before the altar, which the children did with such reverence and respect.
