Mid Ulster District Council -Cultural Diversity Art sessions P5-P7
Thank you to W ei Hong from Artsekta, an art-based organisation for delivering the first session of the Mid Ulster District Council -Cultural Diversity Art sessions for our P5-P7 pupils.
The children connected to Microsoft TEAMS Meet for the live video this morning and they really enjoyed it, learning about the Chinese Culture which included finding out about their Festivals, their lucky numbers, the Chinese New Year, their native language and learning how to say hello, thank you and good bye.
W ei Hong also showed the children a number of popular items connected to the Chinese culture such as a red scarf, an umbrella, a tamborine and a fan which was also used in a number of dances that the children performed along with W ei Hong.
Thank you again to W ei Hong and we look forward to the second session next week about the Mexican culture.
