Mental Maths Activities in KS1
18th Oct 2024
This week the children in P3/4 class were learning skip counting in twos, threes, fours and fives. We focused on practical activities to group objects and count. This forms a strong basis to learn tables.
We also used our mental maths skills of halving a whole number and also working out that we could find a quarter of a number if we halve a half. The children completed activities where they used these known facts to make magic spells and potions with exact quantities.
