Congratulations to our P.4 children who celebrated the Sacrament of First Holy Communion with our neighbouring parish school Derrychrin PS. The children were exceptional in their prayers, readings, bringing up gifts and singing. They also played ‘As I kneel before you’ on tin whistle which was very appropriate for the Month of May. Mrs Sweeney did a wonderful job teaching the children this beautiful hymn.
Thank you to Fr Donnelly for the beautiful mass and helping the children relax on their special day. Fr Donnelly commended the children for being so prayerful and attentive throughout.
Thank you to Ms Hurl for preparing the children so well and to Miss McPeake for beginning the preparation work in Term 1 and 2 - it was lovely to have Miss McPeake there yesterday celebrating with the children too.
Thank you to Mrs Sweeney and Miss Hughes for the fantastic choir music - it really added to the mass and we are very appreciate of the children who attended and sang so beautifully.
Thank you to Philomena McGuckin for taking the time each week to come in to school to complete the All God’s Children programme - the children loved to see Philomena coming every Tuesday. Philomena also prepared the Altar servers and they did a wonderful job.
Thank you to John and the Altar society for having the church looking absolutely perfect for the day.
Thank you to John O'Neill for coming along to take photos - we were extremely lucky to have the sun shining so that photos could be taken outside.
