COLLECTION OF HOME LEARNING PACKS
Dear Parents / Carers,
As you are aware the Minister for Education has confirmed that schools will be closed for all Year 1 to Year 7 pupils until Monday 11th January 2021
Home Learning packs can be collected tomorrow, Tuesday 5th January between 9:15am and 10am.
In order to maintain social distancing, we have staggered the times for collection. The times are based on the first letter of children’s surnames.
Please take note of the times for the collection of packs:
Surnames A - H |
9:15am – 9:30am |
Surnames L - M |
9:30am – 9:45am |
Surnames N - Z |
9:45am – 10:00am |
Weather permitting all learning packs will be available for collection at the assembly hall windows at the front of the school. There are signs on the windows to direct the parents to the year group collection points. We would kindly ask everyone to park in the parish car park and walk to the staff car park via the main entrance gates, collect the packs promptly and exit via the small entrance gates at the front of the school.
Please continue to follow all health and safety guidelines and we ask that ONLY 1 ADULT per family attends, wearing a face covering and follow all social distancing protocols. In line with hygiene measures, we ask that you wash/sanitise your hands thoroughly before travelling to school for collection.
All year groups will receive a combination of both home learning packs and online activities via Seesaw. Teachers will upload daily lessons on Seesaw which can be accessed by all pupils from 9am each day. Pupils can log into Seesaw to find their assigned activities for that day. Teachers will inform the pupils of the activities that should be completed and in what class book/booklet they must complete their activities. All completed work should be uploaded to Seesaw for teachers to mark and offer feedback during normal teaching hours 9am-4pm. We fully appreciate that some pupils will not be able to upload work onto Seesaw due to family circumstances i.e working hours of parents etc Any work uploaded after this time teachers will mark the work the next day and offer feedback.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance. Whilst we find ourselves in challenging times, let us work together to make the most of opportunities available to us for the benefit of all the children of Ballylifford PS.
Many thanks
Mr Ciaran McElroy (Principal)
