A huge congratulations to our Camogie girls on winning the All County Camogie Championship Cup (Division 3) today in Ballinascreen. What a fantastic day for our girls in the glorious sunshine. Mrs Sweeney and Cliodhna commended the girls for their resilience, skills and teamwork throughout the day. The girls won 4 out of their 5 group games and then met St. Mary’s PS, Gortnnaghey in the semi-final. This was a very close game but our girls came out on top. In the final they met St. Columb’s PS, Cullion - another fantastic display of Camogie by both teams. The girls did not give up and kept battling right to the end - we are extremely proud of each and everyone of them and the girls thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations when they returned to school. Thank you to Mrs Sweeney for all her support today and a special mention to Cliodhna for her encouragement and giving up her time to work with these girls. We would also like to thank Caroline for her support during After School Camogie sessions. A special end to the week - well done girls!
